Amanda J. Heitlinger

Attorney Amanda Heitlinger is a principal of Swingle, Van Egmond & Heitlinger, in Modesto, California. Ms. Heitlinger has over a decade of experience and concentrates her practice on employment, wage and hour, business and personal injury law, serving clients in the Central Valley and throughout California. 

Over the course of her career, Ms. Heitlinger has handled a wide variety of cases in her chosen areas of law. She has experience handling both defense and plaintiff's matters in the areas of employment law and personal injury litigation. This unique perspective is a distinct advantage in handling litigation matters and gives her an edge in effectively and vigorously advocating for her clients. 

Ms. Heitlinger is a 2007 graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where she received a bachelor’s degree in English and served as a writing tutor. She went on graduate from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2010 where she distinguished herself as a recipient of the Dean's Award.

While attending law school, Ms. Heitlinger was involved in many activities and served in leadership roles. She was treasurer and served on the executive committee of the Law Women’s Association and participated in Lawyers for Literacy, Students of Arizona Health Law, the Student Bar Association, the Student Advisory Council for Legal Writing and Wills for Heroes. Ms. Heitlinger also served as a tutor for other law students in torts.

Following law school, Ms. Heitlinger passed the California bar examination and received her license to practice law before all California state courts. She is also qualified to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California. She is active in her legal community and belongs to the Stanislaus County Bar Association and the Wray Ladine American Inn of Court. Ms. Heitlinger dedicates her time to her family, serving her clients and improving her community. She serves as the chairperson for the Downtown Improvement District for Downtown Modesto in partnership with the Downtown Modesto Partnership and provides prop bono consulting services to the Modesto Children's Museum as one of its board memebrs. Ms. Heitlinger also volunteers her time to local youth interested in enhancing their oral advocacy skills by acting as an attorney coach for the Constitutional Rights Foundation California Mock Trial Competition.

Ms. Heitlinger handles cases for employers and employees in all aspects of employment law and litigation.
