David Lederman

Attorney David Lederman is the founder and owner of the Law Offices of David M. Lederman, which has locations in Moraga and Antioch, California. Board-certified in Family Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Lederman has more than 28 years of legal experience, and he provides exceptional representation and support to clients throughout Contra Costa County and the surrounding areas who are going through a divorce or have some other serious domestic relations issue they need to address.

Over the course of his legal career, Mr. Lederman has earned a reputation for delivering excellent legal counsel and services in all areas of family law, including child custody and support modifications, division of assets, orders of protection, and more. At all turns, he provides highly personalized attention to all he serves, and he devises customized strategies and solutions aimed at helping them achieve their goals as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

Recognized for his professionalism and service, Mr. Lederman won the Outstanding Service Award from the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists in 2019, is recognized as a "Superlawyer," and the American Society of Legal Advocates named him among the Top 100 Family Lawyers in the state in 2014. A 1989 graduate of The University of California at Santa Cruz, Mr. Lederman attended the University of the Pacific's McGeorge School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1995. While in law school, he earned designation as a Top Ten Advocate in the International Moot Court Competition, and he was a member of the prestigious Traynor Honor Society. He holds his license to practice before all California state courts as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

A leader in his legal community, Mr. Lederman accepted an appointment to serve on The State Bar of California's Family Law Executive Committee, where he has served as both section chair and legislative chair. He has also served as Chapter Director and Technology Director of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists as well as president of the Contra Costa County Bar Association's Family Law Section (in 2008 and 2021) and served on the Family Law Section board for 20 years.

Drawing upon his extensive legal knowledge and experience, Mr. Lederman has published numerous articles and conducted classes and seminars on a variety of legal topics related to family law. He also currently serves as advisor for the California Lawyers Association's Family Law Section.
