Sophie Alcorn

Sophie Alcorn is recognized by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist Attorney in Immigration and Nationality Law — a rare designation for attorneys in Silicon Valley. Last year, the American Institute of Legal Counsel named Sophie as one of the 10 best immigration lawyers in California. Her work has been recognized in The New York Times, Financial Times, TechCrunch, and The Atlantic.

In 2019 Sophie was named one of the 10 best immigration lawyers in California by the American Institute of Legal Counsel. Upon graduating summa cum laude from Washington University in 2008, Sophie received the National Association of Women Lawyers Outstanding Law Graduate Award as well as the Equal Justice Works Award. Prior to graduation, she served on the editorial award for the Washington University Global Studies Law Review, advised international LLM students as the peer mentor leader, and was chosen as a Public Interest Fellow, 2007 after receiving High Distinction for Public Service in 2006. Sophie is also a 2005 graduate of Stanford with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.
