Janani Rana

Board-certified as a specialist in family law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Janani Rana is a trial attorney with extensive experience in handling complex cases and issues involving family law. Currently limiting her practice to Orange County, she offers her service to individuals through Minyard Morris, a firm in Newport Beach, California, best known for helping individuals seeking assistance with family law. 

Well-versed in almost all the facets of family law, Ms. Rana attends to cases involving domestic violence, spousal support, child support, property division and various high net worth matters. Focused on effectively working to ensure that her clients’ objectives are satisfied, she attends to all her clients individually and makes sure to understand their goals before strategizing. 

While the dissolution of marriage is one of the most emotionally draining processes for an individual, a lot of cornerstone issues need to be properly addressed on time, especially in a high net worth divorce, Ms. Rana’s years of experience have equipped her to proficiently handle all the issues that she comes across. 

Majoring in political theory, Ms. Rana received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego. She pursued law at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in Los Angeles and secured her doctorate in jurisprudence, where she also served as the editor of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and completed several clerkships and internships at various organizations.

Ms. Rana has committed a significant amount of her time to keep herself updated on all the new developments and is also a graduate of the National Family Law Trial Institute, a program created especially for family law attorneys. She is a co-chair of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California’s Orange County Judicial Endorsement Sub-Committee and an active member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Family Law Section.
