  • Francesca Tucker-Schuyler v. City of Montebello (Superior Court of California, Los Angeles County) (2020-2022) Representing the former City Manager against the City of Montebello alleging whistleblower retaliation and discrimination. After two years of litigation and on the eve of trial, and after taking the deposition of every City Council member involved in the alleged unlawful conduct, the Firm moved for evidentiary sanctions and $100,000 in monetary sanctions for discovery abuses by the City and its legal counsel. Shortly thereafter, and before the hearing on the discovery motion, the case settled for $2,850,000, which was over 12 times the client's annual salary.
