Timothy J McElfish

A distinguished attorney, Timothy J. McElfish is the managing partner and chair of the corporate and real estate practice Group at Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP, a full-service law firm based in Newport Beach, California. With almost two decades of experience in providing legal services to clients across various industries and sectors, he handles a wide range of matters involving business/corporate law, business formation and planning, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, estate planning and probate, trusts and real estate.

A keen strategist and a prudent advisor, Mr. McElfish also has a keen interest in tax and business succession planning. He advises clients on the tax implications of business and real estate transactions, as well as on strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize asset protection. He also assists them with business succession planning, ensuring that their business interests are transferred to their heirs or successors efficiently and effectively.

In his capacity as the department chair, Mr. McElfish oversees various facets of merger and acquisition transactions, entity formation and commercial finance. An accomplished scholar and a diligent practitioner, Mr. McElfish graduated from the University of California San Diego in 1999, majoring in political science. He obtained his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law, Malibu, California, in 2003, where he achieved a position on the dean's list and was honored with the Cali Award. He also received his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego, California, in 2004. He is admitted to practice law in California and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
