Details

Hailing from a family of reputed attorneys, Andrew M. Kantor was not short of civic sense while growing up. Drawing inspiration from his parents’ dedicated commitment to work, which rewarded their satisfaction, he chose his path in law and earned a partner status at the law firm in 2024, while also overseeing the firm's operations. He concentrates his practice primarily on helping his clients obtain compensation or avail benefits that were wrongly denied by insurance companies under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and non-ERISA policies.

Devotedly aiding the people of California for almost eight years, Mr. Kantor has handled hundreds of cases and succeeded in getting his clients the justice they deserved. One of his prominent fights was won against a multinational insurance company that denied its employees the right to bonuses and commissions based on its disability policy. Mr. Kantor’s work has been instrumental in improving the conditions of disabled employees and increasing their chances of winning such battles for preserving their rights.

Mr. Kantor, with his experience and knowledge in this rather specific field of law, is also sought by individuals suffering from chronic illnesses such as myalgic encephalomyelitis, also known as chronic fatigue syndrome and Lyme disease. His experience of closely working with people who are often defrauded and double-crossed by profit-makers made him realize the value of committing to his profession, which can potentially change people's lives for good. This rewarding satisfaction from each win keeps him fuelled to try harder every day in the hope of helping new people.

A bachelor’s degree graduate in philosophy, Mr. Kantor completed his undergraduate studies at Union College in 2009. He continued his studies and received his master’s degree in business administration from the Clarkson University Graduate School and finally pursued law at the University of California, Irvine School of Law.

Apart from being rated “Very Good” on Avvo, Mr. Kantor has several five-star reviews and testimonials from his happy customers to show his merits and achievements so far. He is licensed to practice both in California and the District of Columbia.

  • Unlike most people on the planet, Andrew Kantor grew up with #ERISA #law in his life. His parents, Lisa and Glenn Kantor, discussed ERISA law at breakfast, at dinner. Law became a fixture in Andrew's life. Many children of lawyers who grew up with one or even both parents who are lawyers, may have seen their parents bring work home. A lot of those kids would probably decide not to become lawyers. Seeing the intensity of the 24/7 job, may dissuade people from taking up the profession. This had the opposite effect on Andrew. Having is parents come home and talk about the cases with such passion and actual anger at the insurance companies' behavior. Even today Andrew sees that same passion, anger and focus to continue doing this work. Seeing this satisfaction at helping clients lead Andrew to believe he couldn't do anything else. Kantor & Kantor has a mission that is unique, especially among most lawyers. We get to help individuals who have been genuinely wronged. When we win a case, this is not just transferring funds between accounts; we are changing lives, at some times, even helping clients avoid homelessness. Being able to help people every day is an honor that Andrew cherishes., Andrew Kantor Shares the Passion to Help Change Clients' Lives, Insurance, Long-Term Disability, ERISA, 2019
  • Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) is a disabling and complex illness. Despite medical and scientific evidence, many insurance continue to deny claims. In addition to blood work and doctors' opinions, there is cutting edge cardiopulmonary exercise testing being done to support these claims. We are making a lot of progress getting insurance companies and Federal Courts to recognize the validity of this testing. We know denial letters can be very intimidating, but do not be afraid. We can help you with your #appeal and secure victory at trial. We are here to help., Andrew Kantor Helps Get Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Sufferers the Benefits They Deserve, Insurance, Long-Term Disability, ERISA, 2019
