Mrs. Kantor earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1983. She graduated summa cum laude from Union College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Kantor has been repeatedly recognized for her skill, ethics, and leadership. She was named among the Top Women Lawyers by the Los Angeles Daily Journal in 2009 and 2012, and The Recorder honored her as Lawyer of the Year in 2012. She received the Women of Distinction Award from California Women Lawyers in both 2010 and 2011, and in 2012, she earned the Special Recognition Award from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation. In 2007, Mrs. Kantor achieved a landmark victory by winning the first eating disorder case in California, enabling her client to obtain out-of-state treatment under mental health parity laws.
