Richard D. McCune

A senior partner at McCune Wright Arevalo, LLP, Richard D. McCune focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, with extensive experience in both individual lawsuits and class actions. Located in the firm's main office in Ontario, California, he provides representation to clients in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles counties. Admitted to practice before all California state courts, Mr. McCune is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The types of cases that Mr. McCune has been involved in have arisen out of defective products, unfair and deceptive practices, and other types of consumer fraud, and personal injury and wrongful death litigation, and he has been able to obtain several sizable settlements and jury awards on behalf of his clients. Some of his representative results have included a $203 million jury verdict in a class action against Wells Fargo Bank involving unfair overdraft fees and an $11 million settlement in a car accident case. These and other successes have earned Mr. McCune a membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and he has received other recognition from his colleagues as well, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. He has also been named to the Products Liability Trial Lawyers Association – Top 25.

Mr. McCune is a graduate of Loma Linda University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in 1982. He then pursued his legal education at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1987. Mr. McCune is frequently asked to deliver presentations on products liability and class actions to groups of fellow attorneys, and he is a member of Consumer Attorneys of California and other professional groups.
