A highly rated attorney with over 10 years of legal experience, Mr. Verriere has successfully handled numerous cases before state and federal courts throughout his region. He provides exceptional advocacy and support to those he serves by counseling them on their matters before litigation so that they will know what to expect. He also has extensive experience helping his clients resolve their issues through alternative dispute resolution techniques such as arbitration and mediation.
Among his most notable successes, he helped recover a landmark judgment of more than $3 billion for a client in Santa Clara Superior Court as well as a judgment of over $2 million for a client victimized by undue influence and financial elder abuse. In addition, he has successfully handled numerous other matters involving a wide range of estate-related disputes across Northern California. He serves as court-appointed referee in complex discovery and accounting disputes, and serves as court-appointed counsel to proposed conservators.
A graduate of the University of California San Diego, Mr. Verriere attended the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. in 2009. During law school, he served as research assistant and completed an externship with the Hon. Richard Clifton of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A recognized leader in his field, Mr. Verriere has published numerous articles and conducted lectures across his region on a variety of topics related to estate and trust administration, litigation matters, and ethics. He also served as editor for Contra Costa Lawyer magazine, and he is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section subcomittee for litigation of the California State Bar (now called California Lawyers Association), Contra Costa County Bar Association, East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers, and the Robert G. McGrath American Inn of Court, among his other professional affiliations.
