Cynthia Gitt co-founded Brown Gitt Law Group in June of 2006, following 35 years of practice with the government and large firms, and she represents companies throughout California and Arizona. Over the course of her more than 45 years as an attorney, Ms. Gitt has proved herself a formidable advocate. She also serves as a neutral, as an arbitrator (AAA, ARC, NAM), mediator (ARC,NAM) or independent investigator, or as an expert witness. Ms. Gitt is a member of The State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association.
Having begun her career as a trial attorney for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Ms. Gitt has used that experience to benefit her business clients. She focuses her practice on employment and business law. Her cases involve labor and employment litigation matters like wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act, personnel training, personnel policies, class actions and management employment law; and business litigation, such as contract breaches, trade secrets, intellectual property and shareholder disputes. Her diverse clients include those in the trucking, retail and security industries.
When she is not conducting workplace investigations or representing corporations, Ms. Gitt may be found speaking to members of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, Pasadena Bar Association Employment Law Section, the Sterling Education or other entities on employment law issues.
Ms. Gitt graduated with honors from The George Washington University Law School with a Juris Doctor after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College. The Los Angeles Times listed her as one of the Los Angeles’ Women Leaders in the Law 2010 and Pasadena Magazine has named her a top Los Angeles employment attorney for several successive years.
