Issa Azat, Jr.

After graduating from Tufts University with a B.A. in psychology, Mr. Azat enrolled at the Loyola Marymount University Law School in Los Angeles, California. During law school, he excelled in trial advocacy, and launched his legal career as a law clerk at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office. He also served as a legal volunteer at the Bet Tzedek Legal Services, a nonprofit that aims to provide access to quality legal services to low-income, elderly and disabled people of all religious and racial backgrounds.

Earning his law degree in 2013, Mr. Azat passed his bar exams and was admitted to legal practice in California the same year. He is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. After graduation, he worked as a deputy district attorney for the San Diego District Attorney’s office, before joining the San Diego District Attorney's office as a district attorney.
