Philip Barbaro, Jr.

Philip Barbaro Jr. of Barbaro, Chinen, Pitzer & Duke, LLP, in Pasadena, California, has been a partner in the firm since 1993. Certified by The State Bar of California as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law, he serves clients primarily in Los Angeles County, Ventura County and parts of San Bernardino County. Mr. Barbaro earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of California at Irvine in 1977 and a Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law in 1980. He is admitted to The State Bar of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He is an active participant in the Los Angeles and Pasadena communities. He is a member of several bar associations and has served on various boards of civic and nonprofit organizations.

Mr. Barbaro has presented programs on numerous topics within his field to a variety of organizations. These include the Center for Judicial Education and Research of the Judicial Council of California, the Annual Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) Educational Conference and the Financial Planning Association San Gabriel Valley. His commitment to education and professional development is evident in his extensive involvement in these programs.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Barbaro is involved in numerous community and professional activities. He has served as president of the Pasadena Bar Association and chaired its Real Property Section. He has also been chairman of the Dialogues on Freedom Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. His community involvement includes serving on the boards of LA Stage Alliance, Habitat for Humanity International San Gabriel Valley and as an adjunct faculty member at Woodbury University.
