In January 2020, Dale R. Gomes launched The Law Offices of Dale R. Gomes in Placerville, California. As the firm’s founder, he draws on nearly two decades of jury-trial work to represent clients in personal injury and criminal defense cases. Mr. Gomes began his academic journey at Bethany College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in theology in 1996. He then attended the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 2000. At law school, he distinguished himself as an aggressive and articulate litigator, laying the foundation for a trial practice defined by meticulous preparation and persuasive courtroom advocacy.

Upon passing the bar, Mr. Gomes joined the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. Over six years, he focused on prosecuting cases involving sexual assault and child abuse, representing society’s most vulnerable victims with compassion and tenacity. In 2007, he brought that same dedication to the El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office, where he continued to focus on “special victim” prosecutions and further honed his skills as a formidable trial lawyer.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gomes has personally tried over 100 jury trials to verdict in Northern California, an achievement that speaks to his rigorous approach and unwavering commitment.
