Christopher R. Abernathy

The founder of his eponymous law firm, Christopher R. Abernathy provides advice and counsel to clients throughout the state of California.  The focus of Mr. Abernathy’s practice is Family Law.  Mr. Abernathy handles all aspects of Family Law, including, but not limited to divorce, legal separation, paternity, property division, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, premarital agreements, freedom from custody and domestic violence.  Mr. Abernathy is a skilled litigator and negotiator with many years of experience  

Born and raised in California, Mr. Abernathy attended California State University, Chico, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1994. He then pursued his legal education at Western State College of Law in Irvine and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1998. Mr. Abernathy has been in private practice for his entire career, and he is admitted to practice before all California state courts.

Mr. Abernathy has received numerous honors fromduring his career, including an AV Preeminent* Peer Review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.  Mr. Abernathy has also been selected to the SuperLawyers list each year since 2018.  He has also been named as one of the Inland Empire's Best Lawyers by Inland Empire Magazine, is Lead Counsel Rated by LawInfo and has a 10.0 "Superb" rating on Avvo.

A member of the American Association for Justice, Mr. Abernathy is an active participant in several other legal organizations as well. His memberships include the Family Law and Law Practice Management and Technology sections of The State Bar of California, the International Legal Technology Association, and the San Bernardino County Bar Association.
