Criminal defense attorney Eric D. Anderson, the founder of EDA Law in Redlands, California, serves clients in the surrounding regions. He is the chief attorney of the criminal law division and the trial litigation division, focusing his practice areas on:

Mr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Pitzer College in 1992, after which he worked as a history teacher at the middle and upper school levels in Brooklyn, New York, and the Brentwood School in Los Angeles. He also coached the football, wrestling and debate teams. He then decided to pursue his legal studies at the Boston University School of Law, earning his law degree in 2000. Licensed to practice the same year in Massachusetts and, in 2006, in California, he is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.
Beginning his legal career as an assistant district attorney in the greater Boston area, Mr. Anderson went on to work as a deputy county counsel for Contra Costa County. During this time, he gained experience prosecuting several criminal offenses in both juvenile and adult criminal courts in Massachusetts. He has handled more than 100 jury trials over the course of his legal career.
An accomplished lawyer, Mr. Anderson has been recognized by the legal community for his vast knowledge of the law and professionalism. He has been named on The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 list and holds a “SUPERB” rating on Avvo. Furthermore, he is AV Preeminent peer-review rated,* the highest rating, through Martindale-Hubbell. He was selected to Super Lawyers in 2023 and 2024.
Maintaining an active presence in the legal circle, Mr. Anderson is a member of the California Association of Black Lawyers and California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. Always a forerunner in giving back to his community, he is a part of the 100 Black Men of America’s Long Beach chapter. He is the presiding justice of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
