Rodney B. Sorensen

The founder of the Sorensen Law Group, attorney Rodney B. Sorensen, has practiced employment law for more than 25 years . He handles a diverse array of employment-based litigation matters, such as wage and hour law, trade secrets, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, mediation and arbitration, and administrative hearings. Mr. Sorensen also serves as “outside/inside counsel” focusing on employment law. Mr. Sorensen is a well-qualified business advisor who regularly solves legal problems for employers of all sizes.

Mr. Sorensen completed his undergraduate studies at California Polytechnic State University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1995.  He went on to pursue his legal education at Santa Clara Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1998 where he was named to the dean’s list. While at law school, he was an editor of the Santa Clara University Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Owing to his scholastic achievements and impressive credentials, he was bestowed the American Jurisprudence Award for contracts and was a three year recipient of the James A. Emery, S.J. Merit Law Scholarship. 

Licensed to practice law in the states of California and Washington (inactive), Mr. Sorensen  also is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of California. With over 25 years of experience, he has been consistently providing high-quality services regarding employment laws and litigation avoidance. He founded the Sorensen Law Group to provide client-centric and individualized legal counsel for his clients. As someone who places a high emphasis on clear communication, he ensures to update his clients throughout the life cycle of the case and safeguards their rights in and out of the courtroom.
