Kyla Dayton

Kyla Dayton is a dedicated litigator at Jeff Lewis Law, APC, who believes in empowering individuals through the law rather than silencing them. Since joining the firm in 2023, she has championed clients facing strategic lawsuits against First Amendment SLAPPs, appellate challenges and a wide range of civil litigation matters across Los Angeles and the South Bay.

An academic scholar, Ms. Dayton earned her Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School (2019–2022), where she contributed as an editor of the Animal Law Review and served as a member of the Probate and Estate Planning Society. She has been licensed in California since 2022.

Prior to transferring to Lewis & Clark Law School, Ms. Dayton studied at the University of La Verne College of Law (2018–2019), holding leadership roles as president of the Animal Legal Defense Fund student chapter and secretary of the Pride Law Alliance. There, she was also active in Delta Theta Phi and the Black Law Students Association.

Ms. Dayton’s undergraduate studies culminated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and religious studies from California State University, Dominguez Hills (2011–2014). During that time, she presided over both the Pre-Law Society and the Philosophy Club, fostering dialogue on ethics, governance and public policy.

With a passion for free speech and transparent justice, Ms. Dayton litigates vigorously to protect her clients’ constitutional rights. She has successfully navigated complex petitions, motions and appeals, emphasizing both legal precision and creative advocacy. Her commitment to accessible representation ensures that every client, regardless of background, receives clear counsel and resolute defense.
