Attorney Lisa Houlé is the founder of Houlé Law APC in Rolling Hills Estates, California. Ms. Houlé devotes her practice to handling criminal defense cases, including those involving assault, domestic violence, DUI, homicide, kidnapping, murder, sex crimes and other misdemeanors, felonies or juvenile crimes. Dedicated to those she serves, her client base comes from Los Angeles County and the South Bay as well as throughout Southern California.
Ms. Houlé is committed to fighting for the rights of individuals who have been charged with a crime. Before becoming a criminal defense attorney, she spent 15 years serving as a prosecutor in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
The knowledge and litigation experience Ms. Houlé gained in this role provides her with a unique insight in terms of the techniques used by prosecutors in criminal matters. She understands the devastating impact a criminal charge can have and is skilled at protecting the privacy of her clients.
Along with her criminal defense practice, Ms. Houlé enjoys staying active in the California legal community. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the South Bay Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Ms. Houlé earned her law degree from Southwestern Law School. She has been a licensed attorney since 2000 and is admitted in all California superior courts. She previously served as a certified law enforcement instructor for the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Department of Public Safety and the Los Angeles World Airports Airport Police.

- Suspect, a police officer, was accused of interfering with an electronic device per Penal Code section 591.5. Suspect was investigated and the prosecutor declined to file charges. Suspect was able to return to work in full capacity a few months later, 2016
- People v. Kumar: Defendant, age 19, came to the U.S. from India to play college level tennis. He was accused of rape by a woman he met. If convicted, he was looking at a felony strike and 8 years in State Prison. Following a trial by jury, defendant was acquitted of all charges and allegations, 2016
- People v. Allen: Father accused on Felony Child Abuse. Daughter reported to authorities that defendant threw an iPad at her face, causing facial lacerations and a broken tooth. Defendant was facing a felony and a strike if convicted. He was also looking at 9 years in State Prison. Following a trial by jury, defendant was acquitted of all charges and allegations, 2017
