Guy R. Gibson

A partner at Gibson & Tuttle, Guy R. Gibson focuses his practice primarily on estate planning and administration, and he has been certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California. He also has a background in corporate, business and real estate matters. Highly regarded by his fellow professionals for his superb skills and ethics, Mr. Gibson has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. He provides representation to clients throughout Placer County and the Sacramento area from the firm's office in Roseville.

Mr. Gibson regularly prepares wills, revocable and other forms of trusts, and other estate planning documents such as advance health care directives and health care and financial powers of attorney. He also assists business owners in planning for their succession due to retirement, incapacity or death, and he works closely with financial professionals regarding income and estate tax planning. In his estate administration and probate practice, Mr. Gibson provides advice and counsel to heirs, beneficiaries, trustees and executors. His elder law experience involves such matters as long-term health care planning, and he has handled conservatorships as well.

Admitted to practice before all California state courts, Mr. Gibson is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. A native of Roseville, he attended the University of California, Davis, as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. Mr. Gibson's legal education came at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1977. Active in his community, he is a former president of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce, and he is a member of the board of the Placer Community Foundation.
