Benjamin D. Fox

Ben Fox is the founder of Fox Law, where he brings a distinguished academic background and broad legal experience to bear on behalf of his clients in trust and estate litigation.

Ben's foundation in the law began at Bethany University, where he graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law, one of the nation's top law programs, before being admitted to the State Bar of California.

During his legal training, Ben honed his research and appellate skills at the U.C. Davis California Supreme Court Clinic, where he drafted briefs for cases pending before the state's highest court. He also served as a judicial research clerk in the Superior Court of Santa Cruz County, which gave him an insider's understanding of how courts operate—an advantage he brings to every case.

After law school, Ben developed formidable litigation skills through roles with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office, the California Attorney General's Office, and civil litigation practice. These varied experiences across both prosecution and defense, trial work and appellate advocacy, give him the ability to anticipate opposing strategies and analyze cases from every angle.

As owner of Fox Law, Ben focuses his practice on trust and estate litigation. His experience representing both beneficiaries and trustees allows him to approach each case with a uniquely well-rounded perspective, and he has a proven track record of achieving excellent results even in the most complex factual and legal situations.

Ben is a recognized thought leader in his field, having been published in the California Trusts & Estates Quarterly and the Daily Journal's California Lawyer.  Ben has achieved a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent®, a designation given to attorneys who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers.

California Super Lawyers® has named Ben as a Rising Star and a Super Lawyer, a distinction earned by fewer than 2.5 percent of attorneys in California.

Ben is an active member of the Sacramento County Bar Association (including its Probate and Estate Planning section) and the Trusts and Estates section of the California Lawyers Association. He is also committed to his community through his involvement with the Rotary Club of Arden-Arcade.

Outside the office, Ben enjoys time with his family, hiking, mountain biking, community development, literature, and playing the guitar.
