After graduation and being licensed by The State Bar of California, he continued there as a deputy district attorney and served in the Misdemeanor, Juvenile, Felony and Superior Court Review Units.

During this tenure, Mr. Abrate also earned experience supervising and mentoring interns and legal research assistants, guiding them in legal writing, motion arguments and bench trials. Co-founding Abrate & Olsen Law Group, the transition to private practice allowed him to focus on his passion for his practice areas.
