Michael J. Wise

Attorney Michael J. Wise is the founder of Wise Law Group in Sacramento, California. Mr. Wise devotes his practice to criminal law, defending clients in the Sacramento metropolitan area charged with a misdemeanor or felony. He understands the devastating impact of a criminal conviction and is committed to fighting for the rights of his clients.

Mr. Wise has more than 20 years of experience and handles a wide variety of cases involving domestic violence, drug crimes, DUI, expungements, gang-related crimes, homicide, pardon, sex crimes, violent crimes, weapon charges, white-collar crimes, and other felonies and misdemeanors. He litigates at the trial and appellate levels and handles cases in both the pre and post-trial process.

Because of his legal knowledge and litigation experience, the State of California Department of Justice requested him to teach law enforcement officers on criminal defense law. He regularly lectures on criminal law topics at conferences and seminars. He offers free consultations and is available around the clock for his clients.

Mr. Wise has been recognized for his accomplishments and success including being included in the “top 100 trial lawyers” by The National Trial Lawyers. Outside of running his practice, he stays actively involved in the legal community. He is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Wise earned a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento, and received his law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. He obtained his license to practice law in 1994, which qualifies him to appear before all California state courts.
