Sean Shabbar is the founder of Shabbar Law PC, a boutique litigation and trial firm based in Sacramento. He represents clients throughout California in employment and personal injury matters, with a caseload that includes wrongful termination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour violations, serious motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, and claims involving public entities. Mr. Shabbar is directly involved in every case. Clients don’t get passed off to staff or junior attorneys—they work with him from initial consult to resolution, and every matter receives the strategic focus and preparation it deserves. Mr. Shabbar is known for his strategic advocacy and composed, effective presence in the courtroom.
Before founding Shabbar Law PC, Mr. Shabbar practiced almost exclusively on the defense side, representing Fortune 500 and national-scale companies in high-exposure civil litigation. This experience informs his plaintiff-side work in a meaningful way—he understands how defendants evaluate cases, how institutions defend against liability, and how pressure gets applied in litigation. His familiarity with both sides of the bar gives his clients a nuanced, measured approach that balances tactical insight with client-centered advocacy.
Mr. Shabbar earned his law degree from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where he graduated with honors and received numerous student awards. He earned his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley. Prior to launching his practice, Mr. Shabbar worked closely with judges in both trial and federal courts—including an extended role at the San Francisco Superior Court clerking for the Hon. Teri L. Jackson, and a federal externship in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California with the Hon. Charles R. Breyer. He is admitted to practice in the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California.
