William Shapiro is a personal injury attorney who has devoted over four decades to representing catastrophically injured victims and families who have lost their loved ones. The National Board of Trial Advocacy recognized his proficiency and skills and certified him as a specialist in civil trial advocacy. He currently serves his clients through The Law Offices of William D. Shapiro in California, and takes on cases involving motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death and premises liability. 

Peer reviewed and rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell, Mr. Shapiro’s legal excellence has been recognized by several other organizations as well. The U.S. News & World Report L.P. named him to their list of Best Lawyers in America, and he was also the recipient of the John B. Surr Award from the San Bernardino County Bar Association. He was recently conferred with the Top Gun Trial Lawyer of the Year award in personal injury law by the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.

Earning his bachelor’s degree in physical education from the California State University in the year 1974, Mr. Shapiro obtained his Juris Doctor from the Western State College of Law at Westcliff University in 1978.  

An adjunct faculty at his alma mater, Mr. Shapiro has been imparting his knowledge to the students since 2013. He steps in as a lecturer at times in other law schools as well, including the University of La Verne College of Law and the California Southern Law School. He has also been frequently seen as a speaker in various seminars and conferences organized by the Consumer Attorneys of California and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.
