Audie de Castro

With more than 25 years of legal experience, Audie de Castro is the founder and managing attorney of de Castro, P.C., in San Diego, California. He represents companies and entrepreneurs across a wide range of industries, including biotechnology, hospitality, health care, real estate and professional services. His practice combines sophisticated litigation with complex transactional work, offering clients comprehensive counsel on business, corporate, employment, real estate and investment matters. He regularly handles high-stakes disputes involving fraud, misrepresentation, fiduciary duty, securities, franchise agreements, accounting, corporate governance and breach of contract claims.

Throughout his career, Mr. de Castro has achieved notable results at trial and in negotiation. His successes include prevailing on a $20 million counterclaim for breach of fiduciary duty and securities law violations, securing a defense judgment on a $70 million claim, winning six-figure judgments on breach of contract claims, and obtaining multimillion-dollar settlements in fraud and investment cases. He also represented voters in enforcing the Voting Rights Act against the City of National City, leading to a transition from at-large to district-based elections.

Drawing on his background as a businessman and former CPA, Mr. de Castro advises clients on complex and multimillion-dollar transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, franchising and licensing, commercial real estate and international deals. He has served as outside general counsel to multiple companies, helping them navigate legal and regulatory challenges while advancing their business objectives.

Mr. de Castro earned his law degree cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was a senior staff member of the law review and a member of the McAuliffe Honor Society. He received his undergraduate degree in business from the University of San Diego and is a licensed (inactive) CPA. In addition to his practice, he serves as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Philippines for San Diego County, representing over 200,000 constituents.
