Brenda Lopez

Serving as a partner at Patterson, Lopez, Banuelos, Khiterman, LLP, in San Diego, California, Brenda Lopez represents clients in matters of family law. She has litigated both noneconomic and economic cases throughout Southern California as a certified family law specialist. Upon graduating from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Ms. Lopez proceeded to pursue her law degree at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While working full-time as a legal assistant during her law school years, she acquired invaluable experience and a profound understanding of courtroom dynamics. Prior to her current position, she successfully managed a diverse array of family law cases, enhancing her expertise.

With extensive experience, Ms. Lopez effectively manages a diverse range of cases with precision and care, encompassing intricate financial disputes, delicate noneconomic issues and various family law matters. She offers comprehensive guidance on personal domestic relations, including divorce proceedings, child custody arrangements and asset division strategies. With her adept skills, she navigates the complexities of both corporate and personal legal challenges, ensuring her clients receive exceptional representation and support.

Having co-chaired several Lawyers Club of San Diego committees, Ms. Lopez actively contributes to the legal community. She acts as a pro tem mediator for family law matters at the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego. Additionally, she holds a position on the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association Scholarship Fund's Board of Directors, where she helps promote equity and support the Latino/a and Spanish-speaking communities. Her contributions to the association garnered her the President’s Award in 2021.
