Christian Hulburt

Christian Hulburt partners with the law firm of Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire in San Diego, California, to zealously represent the rights of his injured clients. He takes on cases pertaining to medical malpractice, products liability, catastrophic injuries, TBIs, bike and pedestrian wrecks, dependent adult abuse, wrongful death, professional liability, and car and truck accidents.

After completing his Bachelor of Arts at Augusta College in 1984, Mr. Hulburt pursued his legal education at the University of San Diego School of Law. He graduated with his J.D. in 1988 and was admitted to The State Bar of California.

Mr. Hulburt showed promise as a trial lawyer while still a law student. During his time as a full-time law clerk at Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire, he also led the school's mock trial team to the Regional Championship in Hawaii and the National Finals in Washington, D.C. His potential as a litigator was recognized, and he was quickly elevated to associate and eventually a partner at the firm.

After completing mediation training via the National Conflict Resolution Center, Mr. Hulburt continued his education at Pepperdine University's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. Since starting a part-time mediation practice at West Coast Resolution Group in 2015, he has been in high demand from attorneys on both sides of disputes due to his attentive listening, identification of and capacity to hold underlying emotions, and ability to build novel approaches to resolution. He brings to mediation the practical knowledge he gained through trying dozens of cases in court and winning almost all of them.

In addition to Mr. Hulburt's membership in the distinguished American Board of Trial Advocates, the San Diego County Bar Association and the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court, his accomplishments and experience led to his election as president, board member and treasurer of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego (CASD). He was also honored with the CASD Presidents Award and named Consumer Advocate of the Year and Trial Lawyer of the Year in 1988 and 2000, respectively. Additionally, he has been rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell.
