Daniel Weiner

Daniel R. Weiner is the Founder and CEO of Weiner Law: Trust, Probate & Litigation Lawyers. He represents individuals and families across California in trust litigation, probate litigation, contested estate matters, and disputes involving trustees, beneficiaries, heirs, and personal representatives.

Daniel’s practice is focused on helping clients navigate high-conflict estate disputes with clear strategy, careful analysis, and steady guidance. Whether a case involves breach of fiduciary duty, trustee misconduct, beneficiary disputes, will contests, trust contests, contested accountings, probate objections, or disagreements over estate administration, Daniel helps clients understand their rights and pursue a practical path toward resolution.

His background combines California legal practice with an international legal perspective. Daniel earned his law degree from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom and later completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at Duke University School of Law. Before launching his San Diego practice, he spent more than a decade at international law firms, including Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he developed a detail-oriented approach to complex legal, financial, and fiduciary disputes.

Today, Daniel’s work centers on trust and probate litigation, while also guiding clients through trust administration, probate administration, and estate planning when those services support a client’s broader goals. His experience with estate planning, administration, tax-sensitive issues, special needs planning, and Medi-Cal asset protection gives him a deeper understanding of how estate disputes arise, how fiduciary duties should be carried out, and where legal problems often begin.

Daniel is admitted to the State Bar of California and maintains an active license. He remains engaged with the broader trusts and estates community through professional involvement, speaking engagements, and nonprofit and community leadership.
