Erik S. Moore

A founding partner of Moore, Schulman & Moore, APC and a Board-Certified Family Law Specialist by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Moore has spent two decades helping clients navigate divorce, custody, support, property division, and other complex family law matters.

Mr. Moore brings a rare depth of courtroom, settlement, and mediation experience to his practice. He has served as a mediator, Family Settlement Conference Judge, court-appointed contempt counsel, and court-appointed counsel under the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act. His experience in these roles gives him valuable perspective into how family law matters are evaluated, negotiated, and resolved, allowing him to guide clients with both strategic insight and practical judgment.

In addition to his client work, Mr. Moore has contributed significantly to the advancement of the family law profession. He has served on the Family Law Advisory Committee on behalf of the California Board of Legal Specialization and is a sought-after speaker for Certified Family Law Specialist seminars. His leadership, experience, and command of complex family law issues have made him a respected resource among both clients and peers.

Mr. Moore has been selected to the Super Lawyers list for multiple consecutive years and has also been honored by the San Diego Daily Transcript as a Top Attorney for San Diego County in the family law category. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the North County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Moore is deeply committed to improving the lives of children in the community. He has served in leadership roles with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and Fresh Start Caring for Kids Foundation and has also supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego and the Junior Seau Foundation. His longstanding service to Fresh Start has included recognition with both the President’s Award and the Founders Award.

Mr. Moore earned his undergraduate degree from California State University and his law degree from Western State University College of Law.
