Jeffrey T. Petersen

Jeffrey T. Petersen is the founder and managing attorney of The Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Petersen, with offices in San Diego, California and Chicago, Illinois. Licensed in California for more than two decades, he has extensive experience in complex corporate law matters. He focuses on aiding his clients in traversing the complex paths of corporate transactional law, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, fund formation and securities law. He also has proficiency and experience in filing for a variety of public and private offerings. 

At the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Mr. Petersen completed his Bachelor of Business Administration and Management degree magna cum laude with a double major in business management and marketing. Later, he graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center with his Juris Doctor as a member of the dean’s list and as the articles editor of the Law and Policy in International Business Journal.

Commencing his legal journey in 2001, Mr. Petersen worked in one of the prominent private law firms based in Beverly Hills, California. There, he represented clients across the entertainment industry in a variety of matters, including monetary and intellectual property rights. He went on to work with another big name in the legal arena, before forming The Law Offices of Jeffrey T. Petersen.

Mr. Petersen’s clientele comprises professionals from the manufacturing and distribution sectors, including software, networking, communications, life sciences, agriculture and B2B services. He also serves as a counsel to business and emerging startups in matters of corporate formation, intellectual property protection and financing.
