Julie Marie Cepeda

Julie Marie Cepeda is the managing attorney of Rigney Cepeda, A Subsidiary of Cepeda Family Law, A.P.C., located in San Diego, California. She takes a future-oriented, goal-directed approach to solving her clients’ family law issues, including: 

• Divorce and legal separation
• Child support
• Child custody and visitation
• Paternity 
• Spousal support
• Domestic violence and restraining orders

Having majored in psychology and minored in English and business administration, Ms. Cepeda graduated from the University of San Diego in 2010, where she served as secretary and president of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. In 2013, she graduated from California Western School of Law with a Juris Doctor, winning several awards, including the Academic Achievement Award – Employment Discrimination and the Pro Bono Honor Society Award.

A seasoned negotiator, mediator and litigator, Ms. Cepeda provides her clients with a unique blend of genuine care and staunch advocacy as they attempt to cope with the most challenging circumstances of their lives. She sets realistic expectations and strives to make the process as amicable as possible while protecting her clients’ rights. She holds an active license to practice in the state of California.

In recognition of her dedication to equal opportunity for minority women in the legal field, Ms. Cepeda was recognized in 2021 by the San Diego Business Journal as the Women of Influence in Law. She was also part of the Lawyers Club of San Diego’s Diverse Women’s Committee. Her service to the community has also been honored by the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program’s Distinguished Service Award and Standout Award, among others.
