Karen R. Frostrom

Attorney Karen R. Frostrom is a partner with the San Diego-based law firm of Thorsnes Bartolotta McGuire. A member of the firm's real property and business practice group, Ms. Frostrom deals primarily with cases involving complex business litigation, land use, eminent domain and condemnation matters, construction defects, contracts and municipal redevelopment. She also has extensive experience handling writs and appeals.

Serving a diverse range of clients throughout San Diego and Orange counties as well as the rest of Southern California, Ms. Frostrom finds great reward in being able to advocate on behalf of those dealing with serious issues that affect their rights as property owners because she considers this to be one of an individual's most basic and fundamental entitlements.

Taking this passion to the courtroom, Ms. Frostrom has achieved notable success helping her clients obtain the favorable results they expect and deserve for their pressing and complex disputes, and she earned the Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award each year from 2006 to 2008.

Active in her legal community, Ms. Frostrom is a member of several local, state and national professional legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego and the Consumer Attorneys of California, the San Diego County Bar Association and more. She has also served as the chair of the San Diego Lawyers’ delegation and the San Diego County Bar Association delegation, and she maintains active involvement with The State Bar of California's Conference of Delegates.

A 1996 summa cum laude graduate of San Diego State University, Ms. Frostrom obtained her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from California Western School of Law in 1999. The State Bar of California admitted her to practice the following year, and she is also licensed to practice in Arizona as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Central and Northern Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
