Lisa J. Damiani

Lisa J. Damiani, the founder of the Damiani Law Group APC, has zealously represented her clients in San Diego, California, for more than 30 years. She focuses her practice on the areas of employment law, personal injury, and criminal defense, with representative matters including those involving harassment, discrimination, wage and hour violations, unfair business practices, automobile accidents, and white-collar crimes.

Before going to law school, Ms. Damiani first obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1983 from New York University. She then went on to attend California Western School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1988.

Ms. Damiani's high level of legal skill has led her to win numerous verdicts and settlements for her clients. She has had an “AV” peer rating through Martindale-Hubbell every year since 1998, which was elevated to an AV Preeminent Rating, a testament to the fact that her peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence, in 2010.  She was also selected to the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers in its inaugural edition in 2011 and since then.  Less than 5% of women lawyers have been recognized with an AV Preeminent Rating. 

In September 2012, Ms. Damiani was named the attorney of the month by the San Diego Attorney Journal. In 2013, and every year thereafter, San Diego Magazine named her to its list of top lawyers in criminal law, employment law, and business law. In 2015, Ms. Damiani was selected to be a member of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) and the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel (NADC). LCA is a close-knit, peer-selected, and aggressively diverse honorary society of 3,500 of the best trial lawyers.  NADC is an organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of legal excellence. 

Dedicated to the furtherance of the law, Ms. Damiani is an active participant in several professional organizations. Her memberships include The State Bar of California, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Consumer Attorneys of California. Ms. Damiani is licensed to practice law before all of the state courts of California, before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Eastern, and Northern Districts of California, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
