Peter Blair

Peter Blair is the founding attorney of Blair Defense Criminal Lawyers in San Diego, California, where he represents clients throughout southern California in serious criminal matters, including homicide, attempted homicide, robbery, sexual offenses, child molestation, domestic violence and major narcotics prosecutions. At the firm, he leads trial teams and manages high-stakes litigation while emphasizing vigorous advocacy and careful case preparation.

Raised in Seattle, Mr. Blair played competitive sports and earned multiple baseball scholarships that helped fund his undergraduate education. He completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington in 2005 with a 3.7 GPA while working full-time, demonstrating an early commitment to balancing responsibility and achievement. While attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he pursued practical training through clerkships and obtained a Research Certification from Westlaw in 2006. Those experiences included work at a prominent criminal defense office, where he developed a hands-on approach to investigation, motion practice and trial preparation.

After entering practice in San Diego, Mr. Blair served as the sole associate at a very high-volume firm, handling some of the region’s most serious violent crime and major narcotics cases. Over the course of his career, he has litigated thousands of matters and taken numerous cases to jury trial, consistently focusing on achieving the most favorable outcome possible for each client.

Recognition for Mr. Blair’s work includes selection to Super Lawyers (2020), inclusion in America’s Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys (2020), a “10.0” rating on Avvo, placement among The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and repeated Top 40 Under 40 honors from The National Trial Lawyers (2018–2020).
