Philip P. Lindsley is the founder of the San Diego Elder Law Center, where he divides his practice between that area of the law and estate planning. Representing clients throughout San Diego County, he has been certified as a specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the Board of Legal Specialization of The State Bar of California. Mr. Lindsley has also been certified in elder law by the National Elder Law Foundation, and he has been accredited as an attorney by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Lindsley assists elderly clients and their family members in a variety of areas. He provides advice and counsel on long-term care planning, helping to assess the alternatives and furnishing guidance on veterans programs and benefits as well as Medi-Cal issues. Mr. Lindsley works with them to preserve their eligibility for governmental benefits in the event that they receive an inheritance or other assets, and he prepares special needs trusts for people who have a mental or physical disability.
Mr. Lindsley also prepares and reviews other types of trusts as well as wills, health care and financial powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. His experience has additionally included conservatorships, and he guides family members who have recently lost a loved one through what can often be a complicated and lengthy probate process. Highly regarded by his colleagues, Mr. Lindsley has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 “Superb” peer review rating through Avvo.
A San Diego native, Mr. Lindsley is a graduate of San Diego State University and the University of San Diego School of Law. An active participant in several professional organizations, he is admitted to practice in California and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
