Rupa G. Singh is a certified appellate specialist who handles appeals, writs, and critical motions in state and federal courts at Niddrie Addams Fuller Singh LLP, an appellate boutique. Rupa’s practice focuses on unfair competition, insurance coverage, real estate, employment law, catastrophic injury, probate, and complex family law disputes, among others. Representative matters include a victory in the California Supreme Court on behalf of a certified class of employees alleging wage and hour claims; defeating writ relief in a certified consumer class action; assisting with an insurance coverage summary judgment appeal; drafting objections to statement of decision preceding a medical malpractice appeal; preparing counsel for argument in complex civil appeals; assisting with an interlocutory appeal from denial of certification; and arbitrating class claims. Rupa also has ten years of experience as a commercial litigator, including as a partner at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP and senior associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP with a focus on representing high-technology, biomedical, and manufacturing companies, as well as individuals, in complex civil and commercial litigation matters. Among other leadership roles, Rupa served as the founding President of the San Diego Appellate Inn of Court; chair of the San Diego County Bar's Appellate Practice Section; and past president of the San Diego Chapters of the Federal Bar Association and the South Asian Bar Association. She publishes a quarterly "Appellate Tips" column, writes and speaks on topics ranging from appellate law trends to elimination of bias in the profession. Among other honors, she has been recognized for distinguished service and pro bono advocacy by national and local organizations.
