Scott Levin, Esq., CDFA®, is a San Diego divorce mediation and prenuptial agreement attorney, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, and founder of San Diego Divorce Mediation & Family Law. With more than 22 years of California family law experience and over 2,500 divorce mediations, Scott helps individuals and couples navigate divorce, protect their financial interests, and reach practical agreements without unnecessary litigation.

Since 2011, Scott has focused his practice on helping families resolve divorce and separation matters outside the courtroom. His mediation services include property division, child custody and parenting plans, child and spousal support, retirement and pension division, stock compensation, military divorce, and post-judgment modifications.

Scott's combined legal and financial background is particularly valuable in divorces involving complex assets, business interests, real estate, retirement accounts, stock options, RSUs, and support arrangements. As a neutral mediator, he helps both spouses understand their options, evaluate the financial consequences, and develop informed, workable settlements.

Scott also drafts, reviews, and negotiates California prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. His extensive experience as a divorce mediator gives him a distinctive perspective on how these agreements affect couples years after they are signed. He helps clients protect premarital assets, businesses, and financial interests while considering future earnings, marital property, support rights, and long-term financial security.

Scott earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University. He has practiced California family law since 2004 and previously taught community property law as an adjunct professor.
