Adam is an associate in Lieff Cabraser’s San Francisco office specializing in antitrust litigation. He brings to bear his experience as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, where he focused on merger review and potential anticompetitive conduct investigations and litigation, primarily in the healthcare industry. He was the Department’s lead attorney in U.S. v. Humana Inc. and Arcadian Management Services, Inc., and several nonpublic matters. He was an integral part of the U.S. and State of Texas v. United Regional Healthcare System team, which in 2011 was the first case the Department had filed in over a decade alleging monopoly conduct under Section 2 of the Sherman Act. He was also part of several “mega-merger” cases, including the trial team in the US Airways-American Airlines merger case, which settled on the eve of trial. He received multiple Assistant Attorney General Awards of Distinction for his work.

Before coming to Lieff Cabraser, Adam worked for the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law, as Counsel in the Center’s Voting Rights & Elections Project. There he engaged in statewide legislative advocacy campaigns to pass voting reforms, successfully lobbied election officials in four states to issue new guidance on voter intimidation in advance of the 2016 general election, and educated and interacted with the public via whitepapersfrequent published articles with national syndication, and numerous press, conference, and media appearances.

Adam began his legal career as a judicial clerk to Judge Noël A. Kramer of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
