Carolyn J. Lee

Carolyn J. Lee is a respected San Francisco attorney with over 10 years of legal know-how. She is a partner at the law firm of Lubin Olson & Niewiadomski LLP and dedicates her practice to the nuances of commercial real estate, land use, affordable housing and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

Ms. Lee offers her clients an extensive scope of services, which encompasses acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, formation of entities, growth, title and property due diligence reviews, land use and environmental matters. Her experience also includes representing clients in the development of affordable housing projects financed using tax-exempt bond and low-income housing tax credit programs, as well as United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s financing and subsidy programs.

Furthermore, Ms. Lee provides legal advice to developers, institutions and other property owners regarding the use of their properties by representing them in obtaining entitlements and permits. Such representation includes advising her clients on preparing environmental review documents under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as well as entitlement and permit documents under regulations like the Subdivision Map Act, general plans, and local planning codes and zoning ordinances.

Additionally, Ms. Lee has been involved with various complex development projects spanning the Bay Area and Northern California entailing large multifamily residential projects and mixed-use office, commercial and residential projects.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts at Brown University in 2010, Ms. Lee received her Juris Doctor from UC Law San Francisco (formerly University of California Hastings, College of the Law) in 2013. The same year, she was authorized to practice law in all the state courts of California.

Active in her community, Ms. Lee is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area, the San Francisco Housing Action Coalition and Emerging Leaders Peer Network.
