Deborah Fox

Deborah Fox is the founding principal of Fox Probate Group, a law firm dedicated to providing legal services in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate law. With almost two decades of experience in the field of law, she focuses her practice primarily on estate and incapacity planning, conservatorships and alternatives, probate and trust administration, and mediation of disputes. 

A graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, Ms. Fox achieved her Juris Doctor degree with magna cum laude honors in 2004, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence. Prior to her legal education, she dedicated several years to serving as a geriatric case manager, where she developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by the elderly. This experience has been instrumental in shaping her approach to legal practice, particularly in her sensitive handling of probate cases and estate planning for older adults.

Following her graduation, Ms. Fox honed her legal skills by working at various probate firms for over a decade. In 2017, she leveraged her extensive experience to establish her own practice, aiming to directly address the needs of her clients with a personalized touch. Her firm, Fox Probate Group, quickly became recognized for its thorough and compassionate service. She is recognized by The State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization as a board-certified specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law. 

Beyond her practice, Ms. Fox is actively involved in the legal community and broader society. She serves on several court panels where she represents the interests of proposed conservatees and legally incapacitated individuals, advocating for those who may not be able to represent themselves. Her commitment extends to community service through her roles on the board of directors for San Francisco Legal Assistance to the Elderly and the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library.
