Douglas S. Saeltzer is a member of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, a San Francisco-based law firm dedicated to representing injured plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases in California and elsewhere. Douglas specializes in handling large personal injury cases involving defective products, construction-related accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, brain injuries, wrongful death, and a variety of other causes, issues and damages. Since joining Walkup in 1998, Douglas has obtained more than $75 million in jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Douglas is a graduate of University of California Hastings College of the Law, where he was a member of the Constitutional Law Quarterly. He continues to teach and lecture extensively on topics related to his practice and is a faculty member both at Hastings and with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. Douglas has received several professional honors during his career, including the 2011 Trial Lawyer of the Year award from the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, inclusions in The Best Lawyers in America publication and an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. In 2010, Douglas was elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates.  He has served on the Executive Committee of the Consumer Attorneys of California in 2017 and 2018.
