Erik J. Christensen

Erik Christensen is a fierce and level-headed attorney practicing in the labor and employment, business, and appellate spaces in California and D.C.  Self-made, Erik came from humble beginnings in California's Sierra foothills before attending UC Irvine on a full-ride scholarship, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Cum Laude with bachelor's degrees in social psychology and criminology, and with a minor in conflict resolution.  During this time, Erik also won one of California's collegiate parliamentary debate championships while medaling in the impromptu and informative speaking events. 

He then attended UC Hastings, College of the Law (now UC Law San Francisco) where he externed at the California Supreme Court for Justice Ming Chin (now retired), the preeminent authority on California labor and employment law.  During his time in law school, Erik also externed at California's First District Court of Appeal and interning at the Victim Impact Program (i.e., special victims unit) at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.  Erik also earned Witkin and CALI Awards in law school for receiving the top score in his negotiation and settlement course.  Thereafter, Erik earned his Project Management Professional ("PMP") Certification.  He took time off after law school to recover from Lyme Disease and chronic Malaria before taking and passing the California Bar Exam on his first attempt. 

Erik's other experience includes working as a senior associate at top-ranked global law firms, as a partner at a regional firm, and as dedicated counsel to non-profits and tech start-ups.  Erik also received multiple awards for his work in the Army JAG Corps., including assuming the role as head of the busiest criminal law office in the Army three pay grades above his level.  From this experience, Erik draws his rigor and creative problem solving when representing his clients, who have described Erik as "a lawyer with a heart."
