Fiona W. Huang

Ms. Huang obtained a B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993. She received a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1997 and was admitted to the California Bar the same year. She was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 1999.

While in law school, Ms. Huang was awarded a teaching fellowship by Harvard University’s Economics Department and taught introductory Economics to undergraduates. She also participated in the Harvard Mediation Program and the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau. Upon graduation, Ms. Huang practiced as a civil litigator for over five years at Pillsbury Winthrop in San Francisco and Wilmer Culter Pickering Hale and Dorr in Washington, D.C. She joined Winter & Ross in 2002 as a family law practitioner.

From 2006 to 2013, Ms. Huang resided in Shanghai, China, where she worked as General Counsel to Avant Capital Group, a China-based venture capital advisory firm focused on high-growth opportunities and cross-border transactions. She was also co-founder and Chief Strategic Officer of MIXR (www.mixr.cn), an online and offline start-up venture selling affordable luxury fashion targeting sophisticated middle-class women in China. In her spare time, she wrote a bi-monthly Family Matters column for City Weekend, one of Shanghai’s leading expatriate magazines.

Ms. Huang returned to the Bay Area and rejoined Winter & Ross in 2013. She is conversant in Italian and Mandarin.
