- Won summary judgment for the plaintiffs in federal court on behalf of three individuals whose firearm rights were denied by the State of California, notwithstanding that their prior felony convictions had been set aside, vacated, or dismissed from their respective states of origin.Following summary judgment, negotiated a settlement with the State of California for attorneys' fees and costs in the amount of $244,399.76 under 42 U.S.C. § 1983., 2024
- Obtained a $244,399 fee award from the State of California in Linton v. Bonta, a challenge to the State's policies prohibiting firearms to persons whose felony convictions have been set aside, vacated, or dismissed in other states. As a direct result of our work in this matter, the State has changed the law by passage of AB 1078., 2025
