Jane Kow is a seasoned employment lawyer, HR consultant, workplace trainer and investigator. She provides companies of all sizes and industries with locations in CA with strategic and practical advice on their employment practices and policies. She advises companies on all phases of the employment relationship from hiring, pay and classification practices, disciplinary issues, promotions, demotions, layoffs and termination. She conducts independent investigations into employee whistleblower, workplace violence, harassment, discrimination and retaliation complaints on behalf of employers in the private sector as well as public entities. She also provides interactive DEI and compliance based training for companies on sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation prevention, medical leaves and reasonable accommodations for employees with medical conditions, conducting internal workplace investigations, and effective documentation practices on employee performance and misconduct issues. She has been a special guest on various radio programs providing commentary on various hot button employment law topics and has testified before the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on employer best practices on preventing workplace harassment and conducting effective workplace investigations. She has served on various advisory panels, diversity task forces, and committees of the State Bar of CA and the American Bar Association.
