Jennifer Carr

Jennifer Carr, a principal at Jewell Stewart Pratt Beckerson & Carr PC in San Francisco, California, holds a distinguished board certification in immigration and nationality law from The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. She heads the firm's permanent residency practice group, navigating the intricate world of PERM labor certification applications and PERM-based I-140 immigrant petitions.

Ms. Carr possesses a unique talent for enhancing and optimizing permanent residency programs, particularly for companies experiencing rapid growth. Her breadth of knowledge extends to nonimmigrant visa petitions, status adjustments (whether employment- or family-based), naturalization and associated processes. Academically accomplished, Ms. Carr earned her Bachelor of Commerce from The University of British Columbia, followed by a Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School, obtaining her California license in 2008. During her university years, she was awarded the Directed Studies Award of Excellence in 2004. In law school, Ms. Carr received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship in 2005 and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in 2006. 

A respected member of the legal community, Ms. Carr actively participates in The State Bar of California and AILA. Her commitment to social justice and vulnerable communities is evident through her work with the Legal Services for Children pro bono panel. She has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. Immigration Courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
