Jennifer Saslaw’s practice focuses on complex family law litigation. As a graduate of Stanford Law School and a former corporate attorney, Jennifer’s background enables her to understand complex business issues and find creative solutions to the problems that often arise in dividing marital assets. In each case, Jennifer creates an analysis of the marital estate that allows her clients to evaluate their options and make informed decisions about their future. She represents clients with income and assets of all sizes and has substantial experience working with high net worth clients and handling non-traditional compensation such as stock options and limited partnership income. She also represents clients in custody and assisted reproductive technology disputes, and successfully defended an appeal in California's 6th District Court of Appeal.
Jennifer also serves as a mediator for divorcing couples. In mediation, she works with her clients to determine the key issues in their dissolution, including division of their marital estate, and custody and timeshare of their children. Jennifer’s goal is to help her mediation clients find solutions that meet their needs and the needs of their children, without costly litigation.
She also provides pre-marriage advice and counsel to clients who want a better understanding of how to protect their assets prior to marriage.
Jennifer is very active in the community and represents pro-bono clients through the San Francisco Bar Association Volunteer Legal Services Program. Jennifer also completed service as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer where she worked in the Economic Development sector in rural Honduras.
Jennifer maintains membership in a variety of professional organizations, including the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the State Bar of California. She is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
