John Frost

John Frost is the founding attorney of Frost LC A Law Corporation, in San Francisco, California. A seasoned business litigator, he champions the interests of startups, venture firms, executives, investors and entrepreneurs before courts and arbitral panels nationwide. His work covers a wide range of business issues, including disputes between founders, accusations of insider trading, conflicts over ownership and management, theft of trade secrets, employee movement issues and various claims related to contracts, fraud and business.

Equally adept at defending nonparty subpoenas in civil and criminal proceedings, Mr. Frost offers critical protection for technology companies safeguarding proprietary data and user privacy. Prior to launching Frost LC A Law Corporation, Mr. Frost spent eight years at one of the Bay Area’s premier litigation boutiques and served as a judicial fellow to Chief Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He further honed his advocacy as a deputy attorney general with the California Department of Justice and as a post-bar judicial fellow in Kern County Superior Court.

An academic scholar, Mr. Frost earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School and holds a B.A. in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
