Ms. Mak is a civil rights and employment attorney specializing in litigation and consultation on behalf of employees and workers. She has single-plaintiff and class action litigation experience in courts and administrative agencies, including successful trial and appellate experience. Her practice areas include discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, protected leaves, and breach of contract claims. In 2016, Ms. Mak served as co-lead counsel on a jury trial which resulted in a $3.5 million total verdict for four female officers at the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. She has received several awards for her civil rights work, and frequently writes about social justice and workplace equality issues.
